Texting and Driving - Watch This Video

With my son only being a toddler not really having to worry about teen things right at the moment, I had no idea how bad of an issue teen driving and texting really is.

But it is not just teens that text while driving.

The reality of it is that it affects every one of us that drive vehicles on the road. Ourselves, our children, parents and everyone one we love and care about.

Here is a video my best friend who works at a traffic school company sent to me from YouTube. Note this is not for the faint of heart and has very disturbing images about what can happen while texting and driving and how deadly it can be and has been. Here is the video

Texting while driving is such a huge issue that some states right now are working on ways to stop it from happening.

So if you know someone who does this or has a teen that is driving you should in fact show them this video and let them know how deadly this really can be and is and the why's why they should not do it.

Share Your Money Saving Tips

I figured in this economy it would be nice for people to share their tried and true things for saving some money, things that help in every day living expenses.

We have heard about how to drive our car to save, how not using your air conditioner so much, coupons and so on to save you money, but I am talking about other things.

Like maybe you found a cleaner at the dollar store for a buck that works just as good as one for $6.00 or how to cut some corners with cooking, laundry or even what works and makes your job a bit easier the list is endless and I would like to hear from you what you have discovered.

Things that you have tried and indeed they work wonderful or good at the very least. I say tried and true, because I have found that cheaper is not always better with some things and when you are thinking you are saving money you really aren't at all.

I will keep this post up to date and please come by periodically and check comments to see what people are saying. I will also have somethings as well I will post under comments.

Car Insurance and Credit Cards One in the Same

Have you found your car insurance, home owners insurance or renters insurance going up?

Even though you may have the best driving record in the world or have never had to use your home/renter insurance, your insurance may keep going up and up. Not just because of others and their claims do to bad storms and etc.

BUT, yes a big but, but because of your unsecured debt, you know like credit cards. Isn't that a crock!!!

That is what our insurance did. It went up 3 times in a 7 month period and so I began to research and make phone calls like you wouldn't believe and finally when it all came down to it, it was our unsecured debt.

Now mind you we hadn't been using our credit cards in several months and had been paying on our credit cards and never late, but because our insurance Co. kept doing reevaluations our insurance kept increasing.

So I was livid, I asked how the hell does my unsecured debt or my debt to credit ratio have anything in the world to do with how I drive or how good of a driver I am. Well they couldn't really explain it, couldn't give me a real answer, just that a lot of insurance companies are doing it, Well what kind of Chicken ...... answer is that? And who the hell is allowing insurance companies do to this???????????????

By the way NOT ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE DOING IT ! So we switched our insurance company from one we had for years to a new one. Exactly the same plan for everything ( I compared line for line) and are saving close to $20.00 a month, yes this is very true. Which is a huge savings when it comes to insurance.

Call around and don't be afraid to ask insurance companies what they put more importance on, how do they come up with their quote and that you want a quote with no hidden fees or charges.

Google Adsense Nonsense

Well here it goes, why I have all but ignored the blogging world for a bit.

I don't want this to end up like so many other posts on other blogs, that are just venting and venting. I have so many other things I want to write about.

However I do think my new and older readers and followers, deserve to know a little as to why I went from posting once if not more almost every day and visiting there sights, to becoming a ghost blog and disappearing.

Yes some of you had guessed that I had a big run in with Google Adsense. "#^%^&%4$%$@^ "
There I feel much better just getting that out. :)

Now don't take this wrong I love blogging and visiting everyone and posting things I might not normally talk about and so on and it has never just been about making money.

However I was crushed when Adsense said they had detected an issue with my sight and took not some of my money I had made, but all of it for 8 months. I even told then to link to my sight and check things out, etc. and would help any way I could.

Well of course they gave me no reason and in the end my account was suspended and the money I had accrued taken. I did everything I could to do the right thing, answer everything I could to them, be as straight forward as I could possibly be.

My best friend who also has several sights was trying to help and racking her brain as well, nit picking through everything on my page and everything else as well.

So in short I was devastated, this had been time spent making my page just the right way I wanted, getting my sight out there, trying everything to get my ratings up, time away from my son and so on. So after all this happened with Adsense, I got myself into other projects and things around our home and with my son. Pretty soon I found it harder and harder to devote so much time to my page or sometimes anytime.

I do miss it though and all of you and so I have come to a compromise. I will try to post as often as I can and a little more regularly and visit others when I can.

P.S.

Who is Adsense really, I mean who are these people that decide if your sight is in some violation or not and how thorough are they and what are they looking for? I mean I have seen some sights that are in so many violations of Adsense and had been for months and they are still up and running, yes with Adsense ads.

How do we know the money we made, when it is taking back really does go back to the advertisers, do we know that for sure?

Get That Urine Smell Out Of The Bathroom

Okay I have been online and every where looking for the ultimate miracle cleaner or solution to get that ever so constant sneaky urine smell out of my bathroom.

With a toddler boy just recently being potty trained, cleaning my bathroom constantly and summer being here where smells love to pop up more frequent I have been beside myself. Being a hound dog trying to track down all and anywhere the urine could be coming from.

I finally found a couple of things and tested them out myself and they work. First understand these are not things that will require a lot of steps and so on, I don't have time for such things. :)

So first Pine Sol does work pretty good, it tends to track down the odor and if you leave it soak for a bit on your floor it gets to the unseen or not reachable urine areas.

BUT my favorite is white vinegar, yep works GREAT !!!

All I do is take a spray bottle and put equal parts of water and white vinegar and spray everywhere. Any and all nooks and crannies, floor around the toilette, side of the wall if you have tile walls, everywhere.

It seems to track down the urine and eat it up. I will clean my bathroom normally, then spray vinegar on and in all the areas I mentioned and you can just leave it or wipe it down later. I will also spray it in between my cleanings. The vinegar smell is usually pretty week in several hours, of course depending how much you saturate.

Presto no more urine odor!!!

PlayStation 2 Not Playing Certain Games? Try This

So this is what was happening to us.

Our PlayStation 2 would play most every game we had, new released ones, very scratched ones and so on, EXCEPT Midnight club 3 Dub Remix, not the old one or a brand new one we bought. The games would however play in my brothers PS2. Hmmmmm!!

So I got Sony on the phone and they were just as stumped by this. So they told me I could send our machine in and they would keep the shell of ours, but replace all the parts with new ones and address the issue we were having as well for $45.00 + tax. Not to bad actually for basically getting a new system, since they do not make the thick PS2 anymore.


However For the machine just not only to be playing one game it didn't hardly seem worth it to pay that money right? Well that one game is our sons favorite, of course with music and voices turned off, he is only 3 almost 4 and doesn't really need to be hearing all of that, just likes the racing.

Here is what we did and It Works:

Took the shell of the PS2 (top cover) the screws are hidden by the little tabs on your system, get them all. Then you should be able to pull it apart, the top part. CAREFULLY !

Take as lint free of a cloth as you can find and gently wipe of the lens very gently. (the very thin looking plastic thing, that's an orange or yellowish color)

Then take the computer air can or your lips and blow the dust outwards on the side that doesn't have the lens. Put it back together and it should work, I know ours does now, plays both the Midnight Club games.

I am so very very sorry how long it took me to post and respond to comments, I will try to explain that a little later in a day or two, okay maybe three.

For now though I have some great tips I have just discovered and some of those strong opinions I talked about a while ago.

Please except my apologizes though, I disliked strongly when others would leave their blog hanging for ever and now I have found I have done just that.
