Is Gas Still Going Down In Your Area ?

*
Gas is still dropping for most of us. Ours here is at $2.39 a gallon versus the $4.05 we were at a couple of months ago, this is a welcome sight.

Groceries and such are not going down in price and I find myself wondering why that is???

When I was researching this, the nearest I could find out is that the cost per barrel has dropped almost in half from what it was, it has now closed at below $70.00 a barrel.

How long this will last they do not know, of course they don't , would they tell us if they did?

In Lakeland, Florida, $2.85 seems to be the lowest I've seen. I heard the truckstop 30 miles away on the interstate was $2.55, but that's a good jaunt if it's not on your way.

I bet gas cans are selling like wild fire and people are stocking up while the gettin' is good! (That's what I'm going to do with my next paycheck).

Gas was $2.79 here yesterday, Tomatos however are $3.00 a pound...yeah I don't get it either.

@ Lakelandmom, I bet people are buying gas cans like crazy!!!

@ Trukindog, I don't get it either. I was also noticing that with such a bad issue with real estate and market crashs and so on, some apartments are going up for the new year in 2009.

Yesterday on my way home from work it was $2.76. Today on my way to work it was $2.55! The interstate is now about $2.45. I need to get me a 50 gallon drum and grab it while I can!

Question: WHY is it going down? What has changed? The only thing I can figure is the election...what do you contribute it to?

@ Lakelandmom, That is what they are saying it is because of the election and the price per barrel is down by half. I really don't know other than that. I know as of today 11/4/08 gas is now $1.99
