I know telling jokes or writing them when it comes to culture, religion or religious groups can be sticky at best. I hope you are like me and have a sense of humor and take this for what it is, funny not making fun.
It is a little early for Christmas and Hanukkah, but I didn't want to wait to post this.
Can We Have a Hanukkah Tree?
Admiring the Christmas trees displayed in his neighbor's windows, a child asks his father, "Daddy, can we have a Hanukkah Tree?"
"What? No, of course not." says his father.
"Why not?" asks the child again.
Bewildered, his father replies, "Because the last time we had dealings with a lighted bush we spent 40 years in the wilderness."

Though the truth of the matter is that even back in the beginning the Lord warns us through the prophet Jeremiah 10:2-4 not to decorate trees with things ect.. for people's customs. Because the ungodly did it and do it!!!!
Changing things from it's origin to suit our needs or beleives it's not making it right.

Ah, give me a break! I can only watch so many television programs from which I get my education! lol. Seriously, I had never heard of any Jewish people having a decorated tree and for the very reason cancan wrote. So I didn't know they even had a choice or existed for the Jewish...That's why I asked. Jeez! I thought I told you to call me before you go posting anything that might make me look stupid! You have to tell me when you're planning on looking smarter than me! : ) ttfn
