Minnesota Headline News (Wal-Mart) Go Figure

*
A judge in Minnesota Roger King yesterday found Wal-Mart guilty of 2 million labor law violations regarding Minnesota Wal-Mart employees.

Wal-Mart was ordered to pay 6.5 million dollars to employees that had not been compensated for training and working through their breaks and told to work off the clock. This lawsuit involved 56,000 employees. Wal-marts labor laws lawsuits could reach to an estimated 2 billion dollars.

Wal-mart still has pending labor lawsuits in other states and also has just gone through several from California and Pennsylvania.

I wonder how it is that one company can get themselves into so much trouble. Do they really think that no one will say anything, that employees would just say oh thats okay I don't need the money, use me and abuse me all you want?

You wonder how many people complained about their work practices before something was done. If 56,000 cases were in violation, then out of that how many do you think actualy said something to the labor board. How many other businesses are demanding that the employee sacfrice of themselves (time without pay, while making minimum wage) to help out (the business). Times are not getting easier for the white, blue collar worker.

I know it's crazy and with prices going sky high just to live, I can not believe it. Well the employees won that is a wonderful thing.

WOW, you would think that Wal-Mart would get it together and quit jerking their employees around so much.

Yes, Tigger you would think that they would get it together, but they seem to be a little slow.
